Women and Girls Detained in Bahrain

In Bahrain, sixteen woman and four girls were arrested during their preparations for a protest on September twenty third. The charges placed on them include some forms of illegal gathering, assaulting a security officer and inciting hatred against the regime in Bahrain. These women and young girls were also stripped of their rights as they had been arrested without any warrants for their detainment and had to go through the interrogation process without assistance or presence of a lawyer. There is no way we can stand for this type of unconstitutional action and discrimination against girls and women alike. What could the Bahrain citizens do to stand up against the discriminatory actions that took place on September twenty third?
