Indonesia Where Domestic Workers Have to Endure the Blame

Domestic Workers still Forgotten Sex Abuse Debate

In Indonesia, many young girls and women work as domestic workers which is a job where girls have been abused sexually and physically as well as emotionally. The girls have oftentimes reported a sexual assault like rape or groping from their employers but most cases have been dismissed. The reason for the cases having been dismissed was primarily for the fact that head officials and police have been blaming this on the women and girls saying they are provoking the men to abuse them because they wear clothing that is considered sexual. How could the Indonesian officials be so disregarding and sexist? Where have you seen this before?
