Somalia Ratifies

The United Nations, early in January 2015, applauded Somalia’s ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) a move which was praised as being an “important step” towards protecting and promoting the rights of all children in the world. They make a commitment towards improving the lives of its children now which is great news. By ratifying the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the government of Somalia is making an improvement in the well being of its children, and hence an improvement in the future of its country. Now the only country which is left to ratify the CRC is the United States. Why do you think they still have not ratified? One would think they might've been the first. But on the other hand how beneficial do you think it'll be for Somalia?
