We need financial assistance. The situation is serious. We need funds for mailings, for newsletters, to prepare and run meetings, Congresses and Summits, to pay workers, for the computer exchange, to organize walks against violence, to expand the international network, etc. etc.
We are non-profit and tax deductible.
Kids Meetings Kids is something that is worthwhile. It's run mostly by kids. It's meant to empower kids and it works hard for the rights of kids everywhere. The penpal exchange, the meetings, the exchanges help kids break down barriers in the world. Through Kids Meetings Kids, kids are learning how to become active in their own communities, doing things for themselves and others. It is very important that Kids Meeting Kids continues. In order for that to happen, everybody needs to help.
Please ask your family, your school, your friends and friendly grownups to help, too. There are lots of things that can be done to raise funds. If you'd like some fundraising ideas, please write or e-mail us at KidsMtgKids@igc.org and we'll send you a list of them. If you'd like us to send fundraising letters to special people, please send their addresses and we'll do that. If you'd like a fundraising letter and materials to show how much we've done with very little money, materials you can use when you're asking for donations from other people, we'll send them to you. Just let us know.
We get lots of mail each day from kids and grownups, but most of the letters have no contributions. Like a car or a human body, we can't run empty.
