How are things? We're glad that you're interested in spreading the word
through music. Here are some ways that kids have suggested:
Make tapes of good songs.
Make lists of song titles which other kids can use.
Copy the words of good songs so that many kids can learn them. Maybe they could be sung at group meetings, school assemblies, in concerts, etc.
Make copies of videos and good songs.
Write songs and raps about kids' needs and rights.
Hold concerts where you open and close with songs, show a video about kids' needs and rights, and tell people what they can do to help.
We have videos on children's needs and rights and the UN convention on the Rights of the Child. We can send them to you for about $8.00. We have materials on how people can work to ratify and enforce the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Knowbuddys have written and taped a terrific song, "The Children's Rights Song" that is available for $3.50. We can help you get copies is you're interested.
Please let us know how it's going and keep us posted on what you are doing so we can share you ideas with other kids. If we can be of help in any way, just holler.
Good Luck.
